Karen Talamini joined the Office of the Deputy Director for Science Programs as a Program Analyst in August 2008 and is now part of the Office of the Principal Deputy Director. Her responsibilities include analytical, planning, and evaluative work pertaining to Office of Science programs and management. She previously served as a Program Analyst and Committee Manager for the Basic Energy Sciences Advisory Committee; as a Program Analyst in the Division of Chemical Sciences, Geosciences, and Biosciences; as a secretary for the Division of Engineering and Geosciences; and in the Division of Cancer Treatment at the National Cancer Institute. She has received several awards for outstanding government service.
