Internship Opportunities with the Office of Science
Place holder language: The Department of Energy’s Office of Science offers opportunities for those interested in careers in government, science policy, and STEM fields to pursue short and longer-term, paid internships. These opportunities include the federal Pathways program, DOE Scholars, and Minority Education Institution Student Partnership Program (MEISPP). These programs offer summer internships as well as more extensive internships for students and recent graduates.
Pathways Program
The Federal Pathways Programs offer federal internship and employment opportunities for current students, recent graduates, and those with an advanced degree. To apply for Pathways, applicants will need to visit the USAJobs.
The Internship Program is for current students in high school, college, trade school or another qualifying educational institution.
The Recent Graduates Program is for those who have graduated within the past two years, from a qualifying educational institution or certificate program
The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program is for recent graduates with an advanced degree, either a professional or graduate degree such as a master’s, Ph.D. or J.D.
DOE Scholars
The DOE Scholars Program provides paid internship opportunities in the summer designed to introduce DOE missions, functions, and operations to talented undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates. Minority Education Institution Student Partnership Program (MEISPP)
